I am a homeowner near High Park in Toronto and I'm looking for a super patient and consistent dog walker to help me with my new Corgi puppy who just can't wait to explore the world!
She's only four months old, so these are short, frequent training walks—maybe 15 to 20 minutes each—four times a day, Monday through Thursday, ideally around 9:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 6:00 PM while I'm at work.
The main task is to reinforce good leash manners and successful potty habits outside, which means lots of positive reinforcement and patience, because she still gets easily distracted by the squirrels.
I live in a small semi-detached house, and access is via a simple lockbox on the porch, so you won't have to deal with any complicated building access issues.
Given that she is a puppy, she needs a lot of monitoring to make sure she doesn't eat anything she shouldn't while we're out, especially in the rainy spring when there can be a lot of mud and questionable stuff on the sidewalks in Toronto.
I can send photos after everything else is agreed on, including pictures of the house and the puppy, and I'm hoping to find someone who is very gentle and understands how to work with very young dogs and their specific needs.
