Task Title
Short Midday Visit for a Very Timid Rescue Dog
Message From The Owner
- I am looking for someone to help me with my new rescue dog, Penny, who is still very nervous and needs a very patient person.
- I need a person for a short midday visit in the Annex area of Toronto.
- She really only needs a 15-minute potty break and some quiet time with a human, usually around 1:00 PM on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
- Because she is a rescue, strong English is not required for this task; I just need someone who is gentle and understands the body language of a timid dog.
- I live in a basement apartment of an older home, which is a bit of a tricky walk-down.
- The sidewalks can be super icy in the winter, so please be careful when you come.
- The only tasks are letting her out into the small fenced backyard.
- Wait with her until she does her business.
- Then, give her the puzzle toy I will leave out for her before you secure her back inside.
- Do not try to force her to walk on a leash yet; backyard only.
- Do not leave any lights on when you leave the apartment.
- Make sure the back gate is double-checked and latched securely.
- Give her a slow-release treat before you go.
- You can contact me on this website and I will send you more details about Penny’s specific needs and routine when we get a chance to chat more.
