Message From The Owner
- I'm a solo professional dog walker in Richmond who's completely overwhelmed with my current client load, especially with the weather getting colder and wetter – honestly, I'm stressed and can't keep up!
- I need a reliable, experienced dog walker to take on a few of my regular midday clients (M-F, usually between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM) in the Ironwood and Woodward areas.
- These are mostly one-on-one walks, but sometimes a small group of two, and I need someone who is super comfortable handling dogs in the rain and mud, which is a fact of life here in Richmond.
- We need someone who understands dog body language, knows how to manage a leash safely, and is comfortable giving simple verbal commands during the walk.
- I’ll provide you with all the equipment, including leashes, waste bags, and treats for the walks, so you don't need to worry about supplies.
- You'd be responsible for making sure the dogs are towel-dried before drop-off, securing them in their crates (if requested), and leaving a short note for the owners about the walk, including where you went.
- We’d need a minimum of 3-4 walks a day to start, each being 45 minutes long.
- The payment would be $20 per walk, paid weekly.
- I have a car and can travel 15-20 miles to drop off and pick up the dog's keys/access info from you each day.
- I’m looking for someone who is seeking extra work this month and is reliable.
- I prefer to communicate via email for all scheduling and client updates as it helps me keep detailed records for tax purposes, and I’m open to discussing rates based on your level of experience and commitment.
