Full-Time Farm Animal & House Sitting Backup for a Service Provider

I am a busy tasker myself, completely overwhelmed with volume after an unexpected rush of clients, and I desperately need backup for a unique farm-sitting task on the edge of Toronto, near the Scarborough bluffs, starting next week.

This is an unusual gig that requires someone comfortable with more than just common pets; you will be looking after three goats, a small flock of six chickens, and two large but very gentle dogs (a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Husky).

I can send photos after everything else is agreed on, including the animals and the property, so you know exactly what you're stepping into.

The job involves staying at the property for five nights, where you'll be responsible for morning and evening feedings and making sure the animals are safe in their enclosures; for the goats and chickens, this means making sure they're locked up securely at dusk and let out in the morning, plus collecting eggs.

I prefer someone who lives nearby, within 20-30 minutes of the property, because quick access is sometimes needed.

The tasks are diverse: the dogs need two long walks a day down the quiet side road, the goats need hay and fresh water checked daily, and you must be able to communicate well in English because the instructions are quite detailed regarding the supplements and medications for one of the dogs.

This task is perfect for new immigrants in Toronto who have experience with rural or farm animals, as language skills are less critical than animal handling skills.

You don't need a car for this task as it's an overnight stay, but you must be ready for hands-on, outdoor work, even in the current chilly Toronto weather.
