We're a small, growing pet-sitting operation in the downtown core, and we are completely overwhelmed with bookings this month, so we urgently need a reliable overnight sitter to help us cover a few clients in the Toronto area.
Thanks so much for considering joining our team; we really appreciate the help right now!
This isn't a one-off thing; we have a constant, almost recurring need for trustworthy backup sitters who can handle multiple tasks for different clients, and we are looking for more clients right now, so there's potential for ongoing work with us if this goes well.
You'd be responsible for staying at the client's home for 12 hours overnight, ensuring the pets (usually 1-2 cats or a small dog) are secure and comfortable, and managing any late-night or early-morning needs.
One immediate task is for three nights next week in a high-rise near the Entertainment District, looking after two very timid older cats, which mainly involves sitting quietly so they feel safe and giving them their wet food at 6:30 AM before you leave.
Because our reputation is everything, we expect really high-quality updates to the client; we need photos and a short summary text update both when you arrive and when you leave, detailing their feeding and litter box or potty breaks.
Dealing with parking in that area of Toronto can be a real nightmare, so having your own car might actually slow you down, and no vehicle is needed for this job, as transit is often faster there anyway.
We are open to discussing rates and the budget is flexible depending on your experience and the specific client's needs, and we can negotiate the price if you have strong references.
We look forward to hearing about your availability and any other clients you are currently supporting.
