Seeking Experienced Small Animal Caretaker near the U of A

I am an individual who is planning a long trip and I need someone with verifiable experience to care for my two rats and a gecko while I’m gone for three weeks.

I am excited about my trip, but really nervous about leaving my pets in the care of a stranger, so I need someone super reliable and kind!

We live in a walk-up apartment building right by the University of Alberta campus in Edmonton.

The care routine is pretty specific:

Rats: Daily food and water refresh, 30 minutes of supervised playtime outside their cage, and a full cage clean (bedding change) every third day.

Gecko: Daily misting of his tank and feeding of specific live insects (I’ll provide them).

Cleaning: I need the entire pet area kept spotless; I have all the supplies ready for you.

People who have a vehicle will be given preference because I live a few blocks from the main campus, and finding street parking is often a nightmare, especially when school is in session!

Parking is tough here – give yourself extra time—welcome to Edmonton!

You must be legally allowed to work in Canada for this task.

I am looking for more clients right now, so if this goes well, I may have friends who need help, too.
