We are a Company – a small, established law firm, but this request is for the managing partner's personal family needs, so it’s formal and structured.
We are looking for a highly professional and experienced caregiver for two elementary-aged children (6 and 8) in a downtown Calgary high-rise condominium.
The children are generally very self-sufficient but need supervision after school and during school breaks.
The previous worker unfortunately had to quit to go back to school full-time, which has left the family needing reliable, high-quality care that meets our quality expectations and standards.
This is a recurring need, year-round, typically from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM on weekdays, with potential for full days during PD days or holidays.
We are happy to provide a visitor pass, but parking is a nightmare in the core, so plan to arrive early as parking is difficult to find – it’s Calgary after all!
The role requires supervising homework, ensuring the children complete their assigned chores (putting away toys, packing their backpacks), and driving them to one local activity per day (e.g., soccer practice or music lessons).
We have a very strict rule about no screen time before homework is done.
We prefer candidates with their own transportation, and people who have a vehicle will be given preference, as transit is slow getting to their activities.
You must be legally allowed to work in Canada for this task, and please note that our rate is negotiable depending on experience, but we pay fairly.
You’d be responsible for coordinating their afternoon schedule, which we will provide, and making sure they are ready for their evening activities.
Strong English communication skills required so you can easily assist with their homework questions and communicate any issues clearly with the parents.
We prefer to keep communication on this platform, but we can send photos after everything else is agreed on regarding pay and schedule.
Supervise homework and reading time for both children.
Drive them to one after-school activity using their family vehicle (or yours).
Prepare a simple, healthy dinner (e.g., pasta, baked chicken).
Coordinate the schedule and ensure all tasks are completed.
We are looking for someone with significant experience in similar formal settings.
