- I am a first-time user on this platform, and I honestly really need help with occasional night-time babysitting for my two kids (a 5-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy) near the Fish Creek area in South Calgary.
- I recently started a new job downtown, which has some evening commitments, and my usual sitter moved away unexpectedly, leaving me scrambling for reliable childcare.
- This is for one to two nights a week, maybe three, always starting around 6:30 PM and ending between 11:00 PM and midnight, depending on how late my meetings run.
- I need someone who is comfortable with bedtime routines, which includes getting them into PJs, reading a story, and making sure they are sound asleep before I get home.
- The kids are pretty easy; they love playing board games or watching a movie before bed, and they've already eaten dinner before I leave.
- You'd mainly just be supervising and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while I'm out.
- My house is a smaller, detached home on a quiet street.
- Parking in this part of Calgary is usually easy, right out front, which is nice, especially when it's freezing in the winter.
- We can discuss the hourly rate—I'm looking to pay between $18 and $22 per hour, and the rate is negotiable depending on your experience and how often you’re available.
- I would prefer to communicate via email since I'm often in meetings during the day and can check my inbox easily.
- Prepare the kids' evening snack (usually a piece of fruit or yogurt).
- Oversee their quiet play or movie time from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
- Manage the full bedtime routine, including brushing teeth and tuck-ins, by 8:30 PM.
- Stay awake and alert until I return, just monitoring the house and the kids.
