Message From The Owner
- I run a small, growing catering business, and lately I've been completely overwhelmed with the volume of orders, especially weekend wedding cakes.
- This means I REALLY NEED help with last-minute, overnight childcare for my twin 3-year-old boys in Ottawa (Kanata area).
- The previous person moved away suddenly, so I'm trying to fill this gap ASAP.
- I would need someone to come to my townhouse, usually starting around 8:00 PM and staying until 7:00 AM the next morning, maybe two to three times a month, often on a Thursday or Friday night.
- You'd be responsible for a few things: comforting them if they wake up, preparing their breakfast (cereal and fruit), and just playing quietly with them in the morning until I get home from the kitchen.
- I have a car and can travel 15-20 miles for a meeting, but I mostly stay close to my business.
- I need someone available on short notice for those busy weeks.
- The rate is negotiable depending on your experience, but I can offer $18-$22 an hour, which is pretty good for this kind of work in Ottawa.
- I prefer communication through this platform for quick scheduling.
- Ensure all safety gates are secured before bed.
- Document any issues or wake-ups in the provided logbook.
- Light tidying of the kitchen after breakfast.
