I am really stressed out because my regular sitter had to move out of Vancouver suddenly, and now I have a huge gap in childcare.
We really need consistent night-time help for our two kids, ages four and six, specifically on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 PM to about 11:30 PM, starting this week if possible.
You’d be responsible for making a simple dinner (we usually have pre-made options or simple pasta), reading bedtime stories, and making sure they're safely tucked into bed by 9:00 PM.
I live in an older walk-up apartment building near West 4th Avenue, and access is via a lockbox code, but getting up the stairs is part of the job.
The kids are pretty good and usually follow the routine well, but sometimes the four-year-old needs a little extra comfort if he wakes up.
I prefer to pay in cash, which works best for me, and I'm really looking for someone who has availability on short notice and is comfortable with a slightly later end time sometimes.
Since I use transit but it is very reliable, I need to know you can reliably get to and from my place on those evenings, especially since it’s an end-of-day job.
I can offer $22-$25 per hour depending on your experience.
Thank you so much; you’d be a lifesaver!
