This isn't a recurring weekly thing, but more for when we have formal company dinners, which happens 1-2 weekends a month, or an all-day conference, which is maybe once every six weeks.
We live in a nice, large single-family home in the Alta Vista area.
Our children are well-behaved and mostly need someone to supervise their play, help the two younger ones with bathing/pajamas, and manage a smooth bedtime routine.
We expect a high standard of care and communication, but the work is straightforward, and the kids are wonderful.
The job scope is always varied, depending on the event: sometimes it’s 6:00 PM to midnight on a Saturday, other times it’s 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on a Sunday.
We are happy to pay a premium rate for the flexibility needed.
We are open to discussing rates, as the rate is negotiable depending on experience and references.
We are looking for someone who is available on short notice, as sometimes these events pop up with only a week or two of lead time.
You’d be responsible for making sure the kids feel safe and happy while we’re away.
Please allow extra time for parking, this is Ottawa we’re talking about, and while we have a driveway, sometimes the neighbors take up all the street space when they have guests!
* Prepare a simple meal or snacks.
* Oversee homework/reading time if it’s a day job.
* Ensure all toys are tidied up before leaving.
