I'm feeling really nervous about leaving my place while I go on a family trip, especially since this is my first time posting here on the platform.
My house in the Glebe is a small 1920s semi-detached, and I need someone responsible to look after things for about 14 days, from March 1st to the 14th.
You would be responsible for checking the mailbox daily, watering my indoor plants (I have about 10 small ones), and making sure the main floor lights are set on a timer so it looks like someone is home; I really want to keep everything looking normal while I'm away.
This housesitting role also includes light snow shovelling if we get a big Ottawa snowstorm while I'm gone, especially clearing the front porch area so the mail person can get through easily,
and also keeping an eye on my sweet but anxious cat, Mittens.
She just needs fresh food and water twice a day, and a little bit of playtime in the evenings to keep her happy; I’ll leave plenty of food and litter.
Access is easy via a lockbox right near the side door, and I’ll send you a detailed list of emergency contacts and vet information before I leave.
Thanks so much!
