Need Reliable House Sitter for Two-Week Period in North Burnaby

I'm looking for a responsible housesitter for my two-bedroom condo close to Brentwood for two full weeks starting the first Monday of next month, as my partner and I are finally taking a long-overdue vacation.

The building is secure, and access is via a lockbox which is easy once you know the code, but you’ll need to know the specific Burnaby recycling rules for paper and plastic, which can be a bit strict here.

I use transit myself, but I have a car and can travel 15-20 miles to meet and drop off the keys or supplies before I leave, which makes things easier for everyone.

The main job is just living in and keeping the place safe, but I also need specific tasks done to keep our little apartment running smoothly.

You would need to check for packages at the front desk every other day,

bring in the newspapers,

and run the dishwasher when it gets full, leaving the dishes put away.

Since it is the late fall, I also need someone to quickly clear the balcony of leaves and ensure the balcony drain isn't clogged, as the famous Burnaby rain can come down quite hard and cause issues if we aren’t careful.

I’m open to discussing rates and what you feel is fair for this type of care, especially since it’s a longer booking.

You’ll need to send me a photo every day of the living room just so I know everything is okay.

I will provide all cleaning supplies, cat food, and plant fertilizer.

We’re hoping for someone who is available on short notice for an initial meet-and-greet.
