I’m going on a long-awaited family vacation and need someone to stay at my modern apartment in Yaletown for a full two weeks at the beginning of spring.
I’m really nervous about leaving my place empty for that long because there have been a few minor issues in the building lately, so having someone physically present is a must for my peace of mind.
This is a very simple assignment as there are no pets and minimal plant care, just needing that secure presence in a high-rise building where access can sometimes be a little complicated for visitors.
The apartment is a one-bedroom unit, and I need you to collect mail from the lobby mailbox downstairs every day and bring it up.
Please also sign for any important deliveries from the concierge.
Feel free to run the tap in the kitchen sink for a minute every couple of days, just to keep the plumbing from getting stagnant while I’m gone.
Keep the lights on a timer to simulate occupancy and look like someone is always home.
Keep the windows closed tightly to keep the damp Vancouver air out.
Check the basement storage locker once during the stay.
Please message me here or via email with your availability and rate; I can send photos after everything else is agreed on.
I prefer communication through this platform for the initial contact, just to keep everything organized and easy to track.
I’d love to hear a bit about your background, too, so please send me a few lines about yourself when contacting me.
