We are an established property management company with multiple rental units in the lively Old Strathcona area of Edmonton, and we are looking for a reliable housesitter to cover one of our furnished basement suites for a period of about three weeks.
Looking for more clients right now, so let me know what your current availability looks like!
This is a very important task because the owner's adult daughter is staying there, and she is traveling, and we need someone to care for her two small parakeets (named Blue and Green).
This opportunity would suit someone looking for consistent, professional work, as we have lots of recurring needs in the city.
Your main job is keeping the two birds safe, which means changing their water and food bowls daily, cleaning the cage liner every morning, and letting them out of the cage for supervised free flight time in the living room for at least one hour a day.
It is critical that you are very careful about not letting them near the windows or doors, as the Whyte Ave area can be very busy with people and traffic and we don't want them getting spooked.
The unit is a cozy one-bedroom with its own separate entrance, and while parking can be a nightmare in this area, we do provide a visitor's pass that you can use.
The rate is negotiable depending on experience with exotic birds.
I'm happy to provide more details about the exact location and the birds’ routine once we confirm the basic details, but please be aware that we expect a very high standard of care.
I prefer to communicate via email for all the official scheduling and paperwork, as it helps me keep all the client files organized.
You must be available to start the first week of February.
* Please send me a text photo of the birds every evening so I know they are okay.
Check the main floor of the house once a week (owner’s request).
