Message From The Owner
- We are a small business that manages a portfolio of high-end rental properties in the Edmonton area, mostly in the Southside and Strathcona areas, but our usual go-to sitter just moved away very unexpectedly.
- We need someone reliable to cover two different properties starting next week for about 10 days each; one is a large house in a quieter suburb, and the other is a downtown apartment.
- We are looking for a professional who has experience managing different property types and can handle minor issues that might come up, as we can't be everywhere at once while we expand our business to Calgary this quarter.
- The main duties will involve basic security checks, ensuring the heating is set properly because Edmonton winters can be BRUTAL and we don't want frozen pipes, and just monitoring for any maintenance issues, like a leaky faucet or something like that.
- We will provide all necessary access details, including lockbox codes and alarm instructions, and we expect clear, prompt communication if anything goes wrong at all; we REALLY NEED someone who is a good problem-solver.
- Check the main furnace settings at both properties every day.
- Water the indoor plants (about 15 large ones at the house).
- Forward any urgent mail via photo/text message.
- Keep a detailed log of daily activities and observations at both locations.
- Light cleaning (wiping counters, sweeping floors) before the tenants arrive back.
- My availability for meeting you beforehand to hand over the keys is pretty open, and I can travel to meet you since I have a car and can travel 15-20 miles easily, but you must be able to start next Monday.
- We are willing to negotiate on price depending on your level of experience and whether you are able to stay overnight at either location.
