Looking for an Occasional Sous Chef/Prep Cook in West Richmond (Steveston)

We are a local, established catering company in Richmond that sometimes gets really overwhelmed with big weekend events, and we need a reliable freelance cook to help us with the initial prep work.

This isn't a permanent job, but it could be recurring every few months when we have a huge wedding or corporate event booked.

The work would involve basic but high-volume tasks like chopping hundreds of vegetables, making large quantities of sauces, preparing starches like rice and potatoes, and portioning ingredients accurately.

We have a professional kitchen space near Steveston that is very well-equipped.

We are hoping for someone who is professional and understands food safety standards, as we pride ourselves on a high quality of service for our clients.

We prefer to keep communication on this platform for all initial scheduling and logistics.

Rate is negotiable depending on experience, but we are looking to pay an hourly rate that reflects professional kitchen standards.
