Need a Culinary Organizer for Our Small Catering Shop in Gastown

We are a small, but growing, catering business right outside of downtown Vancouver and we really need an organized person to handle our prep kitchen a few days a week.

We've just started expanding our delivery service, which is exciting, but our two main chefs are getting overwhelmed with the sheer volume of chopping, washing, and batch cooking needed before the orders even go out.

You would primarily be responsible for getting all the ingredients ready for the day's menu, which involves things like peeling and dicing a lot of root vegetables, making salad dressings in large batches, and portioning out grains like quinoa and rice for the next day.

We’re looking for someone who can work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from about 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM, but we can be a bit flexible on the start time if needed.

The main tasks would include managing our cold storage rotation, prepping specific recipe components based on the daily sheets, and making sure the kitchen is tidy before you leave.

I have a car and can travel 15-20 miles for other business needs, but your work would be strictly in our commercial kitchen space, which is near a major transit line in Vancouver.

We expect a high standard of cleanliness and organization because we are a professional business.
