Task 2: Looking for a Reliable Prep Cook for Our Growing Food Truck Operation
Message From The Owner
  • We are seeking a dedicated and efficient prep cook to help us keep up with the demand for our popular food truck business in Edmonton.

  • Our small business has recently expanded its route, and our existing kitchen crew is maxed out just handling service, meaning we've fallen behind on critical prep work.

We operate out of a rented commercial kitchen space in the central industrial area, which is easily accessible, though street parking can be hit or miss.

We're currently planning for 15–20 hours of work per week, mainly split between Monday and Tuesday mornings, which are our big prep days.

Your primary duties would involve following our established production sheets, which include making our signature sauces from scratch,

preparing and marinating large quantities of meat,

peeling and dicing hundreds of potatoes,

and managing all our cold prep, like salad bases and sandwich fillings.

Since we need someone right away, having availability on short notice is a huge plus, as is the ability to handle the cold storage areas in the kitchen; with the Edmonton weather, we are super strict about keeping things properly chilled.

We need someone with proven experience in a commercial kitchen setting.

Ensure all stations and equipment are sanitized after use.

Log all prepared items and quantities in our inventory system.

Assist with receiving and stocking new inventory shipments.

We really appreciate you taking the time to read our post!
