I'm a chef who just started a small pop-up food business operating in the Old Strathcona area of Edmonton, and I'm at the point where I need some professional kitchen help for prep work.
The kitchen space I rent is tiny, but efficient!
I'm planning for two shifts of 5 hours each—one on Wednesday and one on Friday—from 10 AM to 3 PM.
We specialize in making gourmet sandwiches, so the prep is mostly cold work.
This is a great chance to get your foot in the door with a growing food concept.
Your job would be to wash and perfectly slice specific types of vegetables (tomatoes, artisan lettuce, cucumber).
Make two different homemade spreads/mayos from scratch.
Manage the cheese station (slicing and portioning).
Manage the stock rotation.
We expect absolute cleanliness and adherence to health codes.
The legal work authorization in Canada required for this role is expected.
People who have a vehicle will be given preference for carrying supplies, although there is a back alley loading zone.
We can negotiate the price based on your level of experience and commitment to the ongoing work.
Thanks so much!
