Bookstore Errand & Delivery for a Burnaby Professor
Message From The Owner
- I am an Individual professor at a local university, and I need help with a few tasks related to my research materials; honestly, I am completely swamped with grading this semester.
- I’m looking for someone to pick up several boxes of recently used textbooks from my office at the university near the Lake and deliver them to a specific used bookstore near Metrotown.
- There are six mid-sized boxes, maybe 50 lbs each, so they will require some decent strength to move and load.
- I really need to get them out of my office ASAP, maybe early next week.
- The bookstore is just off Kingsway, and the main challenge is that they prefer someone who lives nearby, within 20-30 minutes because the book drop-off window is quite specific, and sometimes they make you wait, which is why looking for someone local, no more than 20 minutes travel would be amazing.
- My university office has easy ground-level access, but the bookstore drop-off is up a ramp.
- No vehicle is needed for this job as I can arrange for a cargo bike rental or a small U-Haul van (I’ll pay for the rental), but you would be responsible for driving it.
- This task is a great opportunity for newcomers to Burnaby, and while I need you to understand the addresses, strong English is not required for this task.
- * Pick up six boxes from my Burnaby office.
- * Ensure the correct inventory sheets are with the boxes.
- * Transport and drop off boxes at the designated bookstore.
- * Get a receipt from the bookstore staff.
- I have a car and can travel 15-20 miles if the return trip requires it for the rental drop-off, but I mostly need a reliable driver/mover for the few hours.
- I can send photos after everything else is agreed on about the boxes.
